Spring and Summer are two favorite seasons of the year for many. As the beautiful new blooms appear signaling the emergence of spring, with this beauty and renewal comes pesky bugs like mosquitos.
It's amazing how mosquitos can be attracted to us based on the pheromones that our bodies emit, and this is why scientists are often doing studies to see what scents will deter mosquitoes from being attracted to us.
One tried and true opponent to mosquitoes is citronella essential oil with its various chemical compounds that not only help ward off mosquitos, but studies have shown that because of its antioxidant and anti-microbial prosperities, it can help to heal small cuts and wounds faster. Citronella and lemongrass are both in the same plant family (Cymbopgon) and therefore, share some of the same plant chemical properties that can help to mask our skin from the gaze of those flying vampires.
We also added dried lemongrass to help exfoliate away dead skin and to encourage you to use the soap directly on your skin.
We can't promise this soap will work for everyone, but hopefully, this will give you some relief as you enjoy the park, work in your garden, or go on hikes during these warmer months.

Saponified Organic Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil, Organic Fair Trade Raw Shea Butter, Distilled Water, Citronella, Eucalyptus and Lemongrass Essential Oils, Dried Lemongrass, Sodium Lactate and Infused Annatto Seeds (colorant).
