Something is striking and beautiful about the sun as it sets and the sky is filled with the soft shades of yellows, pinks, and other eye-catching colors. This is what we wanted to capture with our At Sunset bar soap.
Sunset is made with our blend of organic and skin-nourishing oils and butters like our fair trade organic shea butter whose nuts are hand-picked and processed by a group of women who formed a co-op in the the town of Wa, located in Northern Ghana. When you support us, you are supporting these ladies and their families. Infused in organic extra virgin olive oil is Himalayan Rhubarb grown on the grassy slopes of the Himalayas. This rhubarb has lots of benefits for our gut health, but another wonderful benefit is as a natural colorant giving us various shades of pink to reds.
To achieve the rich yellow color we infused our beloved annatto seeds, also known as the lipstick plant in many countries including Jamaica. It is rich in antioxidant and anti-microbial properties amongst a long list of other skin and health benefits. We love playing with nature's color palette to give you soaps that not only catch your eyes but feed your skin.
To encapsulate the warm glow of the setting sun we created a blend of warm and citrus notes using blood orange, ylang-ylang, lemon, and frankincense essential oils, to name a few. This scent is soft but vibrant with a touch of warmth to it.
